David earned his private certification in college as a chemistry major. After graduation, he chose to pursue an aviation career instead. He began teaching at Blue Skies after moving back to the area to be near his family.

His favorite aviation experience has been flying a Cessna 172 to a grass runway in northern Wisconsin for a weekend camping trip. David’s goals for his students are to love aviation, and to become the safest possible pilots.
