Joe Zubay began his flying career in 1965, right out of Engineering school. In 1995, after over 2,000 hours of personal flying which covered all of the United States (except Alaska, which is still on his to-do list!), most of the provinces of Canada and the Bahama Islands, he became a full-time flight instructor.
Almost all of his time (over 12,000 Hours) has been in many dozens of different single engine airplanes from 65 horse power tail draggers to 300 horse power technically advanced retractable airplanes. He holds Basic, Instrument and Advanced Ground Instructor Certificates and Certified Flight Instructor and Certified Instrument Flight Instructor Certificates. He began teaching at Blue Skies Flying Services in 2016 after closing Airworthy’s Campbell Airport Flight School concluding Flight Training operations at C81.
