Mike Biewenga started flying in 1993 while attending the University of Illinois. After that, he worked as a civil engineer on airport planning and design projects around the world. He has continued to grow his experience over the last couple of decades by becoming an instructor where he loves to welcome newcomers to the airport and help students achieve their aviation goals.
Mike is an instrument-rated commercial pilot, flight instructor and advanced/instrument ground instructor. The FAA also recognized Mike as a Gold Seal Flight Instructor. Whatever your goals, he is here to help and believes in providing personalized instruction that matches with how you learn best. He is also available to help you get your license, stay proficient, or work on new skills. We’ll have a safe, fun, and positive experience along the way!
