Phil Stegge’s interest in aviation started with his first flight in the late 1980s and eventually led to him taking lessons while he was in high school. He would go on to attend Chandler Gilbert Community College in Mesa, AZ where he earned his private and commercial pilot certificates with instrument and multi-engine ratings in 2005 through the University of North Dakota’s Aerospace program. After several years out of the cockpit, Phil returned to flying and completed his Flight Instructor Certification at Blue Skies Flying Services. Phil is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and served 6 years in the Illinois Army National Guard.
