Sevim Ablay has been flying for more than 14 years and has provided ground instruction for 2 years. He completed his undergraduate electronic engineering degree (BSEE, honors) at Trine University, Indiana, and his Masters in Electronic Engineering, MSEE, at the Illinois Institute of Technology. After, he pursued an engineering career by working at both Ford Motor Company (Product Development) and Motorola (Research & Development).
He finished primary flight training at Lake in the Hills Airport, 3CK, and currently flies out of DuPage Airport, KDPA, and has accumulated a total flight time close to 500 hours. He is an Instrument rated Private Pilot and Ground Instructor and has flown Piper Archers, Arrows, Cherokees and Warriors.
Sevim brings an engineering approach to teaching aviation and has taught Engineering Technology Courses at DeVry University and McHenry County College. He also gives pilot seminars on key topics of interest to General Aviation.
As an FAA Safety Team Representative, he is available for any remedial training, available for help in your preparation for your FAA Oral Exams for Private Pilot license or Instrument rating.
