Introductory Flight Lessons

Blue Skies Flying Services offers three levels of Introductory Flight Lessons. For those of you wondering what flight training and small private aircraft are about, this is a first step towards your aviation activities. An Introductory Flight Lesson is not just a ride in an airplane, but a true hands-on experience.

You will be involved with the pre-flight of the aircraft, use of checklists, and post-flight debriefing. This flight can be logged flight time if prior to the flight you provide us with proof of citizenship via a passport or birth certificate.

Lake In the Hills Aviation Academy Introductory Flight Lessons Pilot's License Training

INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT LESSON 1

You will spend pre-flight time in the classroom with one of our Certified Flight Instructors, review the current weather, discuss what will be covered during your pre-flight of the aircraft, explain the process of getting your Pilot’s license and cover the basics of flight training and what you can expect as you pursue the thrill of flying!

You will then embark on a short flight around the Lake in the Hills area, learning the basics. This Introductory Flight Lesson will last approximately 20 minutes. After the flight, the instructor will answer any questions you might have concerning the flight or the next steps to beginning your flight training!

INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT LESSON 2

You will spend about 30 minutes in the classroom with one of our Certified Flight Instructors as part of a pre-flight briefing to review the current weather and discuss the lesson plan for the flight. They will explain the process of getting your Pilot’s license and cover the basics of flight training and what you can expect as you pursue the thrill of flying!

You will then embark on a short flight around the Lake in the Hills area, learning the basics. This Intro Flight Lesson will last approximately 45 minutes. After the flight, the instructor will answer any questions you might have concerning the flight or the next steps to beginning your flight training!
